Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals according to daily menus, recipes, and residents’ dietary needs.
- Work with your supervisor to review menus and make adjustments when needed.
- Monitor food and supply levels and communicate ordering needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Keep the kitchen, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow proper food handling, labeling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure meals are attractively plated and ready to serve on time.
- Work with the dining team to provide a positive experience for residents.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred.
- Ability to follow menus, recipes, and dietary instructions.
- Knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen sanitation practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A dependable, positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
- Patience, respect, and compassion when interacting with seniors.
- Availability to work varying days, including weekends.
