Qualification: Post Graduate in Social Work / MA in Sociology or Equivalent
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Socioeconomic Expert to support socio-economic surveys, field data collection, urban data analysis, and planning studies for Master Plan / Urban Development projects. The candidate should have strong experience in community studies, demographic analysis, and socio-economic data interpretation.
Kannada language proficiency is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct socio-economic surveys and field data collection activities.
- Analyze demographic, social, and economic data for urban and regional planning projects.
- Prepare socio-economic reports, survey findings, and analytical documentation.
- Coordinate with field teams, local authorities, and stakeholders.
- Support urban planning teams with population projections and socio-economic assessments.
- Maintain and manage socio-economic databases and secondary source data.
- Ensure data accuracy, quality validation, and timely submission of reports.
- Participate in stakeholder consultations and community interactions.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of socio-economic survey methodologies.
- Experience in field survey coordination and data analysis.
- Knowledge of urban and regional development studies.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting tools, and data analysis techniques.
- Good communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interact with communities and government stakeholders.
- Preferred Experience
Should have been involved in collection of field data and socio-economic surveys, analysis of socio-economic data of cities/towns, projections, urban database preparation using secondary sources for at least one Master Plan project in the last 5 years.
