Role Responsibilities
- · Perform welding works according to approved drawings and quality specifications
- · Responsible to examine and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specification
- · Identify potential welding problem and work out the solution
- · Able to read and interpret technical drawing and other written instructions and diagrams to perform welding works and requirements to produce work piece
- · Work with Supervisor to ensure welding works are carried out in a controlled manner
- · Perform MIG, TIG and other types of weld accordingly
- · Coordinate with Production for efficient installations
- · De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
- · Improve and sustain housekeeping
- · Support in training as and when required
- · Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year direct working experience as a welder (preferably MIG welding) – equipment and procedures
- Able to read and understand work order, technical drawing and welding symbols
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Physically fit to perform all duties relating to welding
- Team player, able to work with all levels
