Freelance Senior Wind Engineer

About this role

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Senior Wind Engineer with a proven track record in Technical Due Diligence services (contract review, yield assessment, site visits) in in CEE, the Middle East, the Caucasus and/or Central Asia.

You have experience in wind energy, technical due diligence, resource assessment and/or project development. You will conduct technical due diligence for wind installations in Benelux, Eastern Europe, the Middle-East and Asia. This can include but is not limited to:

• Technical review of main components of wind turbines
• Review of contracts (TSA, O&M contract, Power Purchase Agreement, Grid connection, etc..)
• Review of land leases and building permits
• Review of environmental impact studies
• Review of long-term energy yield assessments
• Delivering the technical due diligence studies following the planning, budget and the internal quality process of execution
• Liaising with the project Lender and/or Sponsors and other project stakeholders;

Requirements

• +5 years of experience in Technical Due Diligence services (contract review, yield assessment, site visits) in the wind energy sector.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• Experience in working in cooperation with renewable energy developers and/or financiers.
• Experience writing bankable reports, punch lists, site visit reports.
• Required training certificates for site inspections (GWO working at heights).
• Strong practical, organizational skills.
