Metroll is seeking a motivated, safety-focused and customer-oriented HC Truck Driver to join our Mackay team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Dispatch Supervisor , you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of roofing and steel building products to customers across Mackay and surrounding areas.

This is a hands-on role that combines driving, customer service and operational support. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work , is motivated to perform at a high standard and understands the importance of providing a positive customer experience.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm ( with some overtime required)

Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely operating HC vehicles for local and regional deliveries
• Operating trucks fitted with cranes to safely load and unload products
• Loading, securing and unloading steel products in accordance with safety requirements
• Conducting daily vehicle inspections and pre-start checks
• Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately, safely and on time
• Maintaining proof of delivery documentation and delivery records
• Providing professional and customer-focused service at delivery sites
• Assisting with yard and warehouse duties when required
• Complying with all Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and load restraint requirements
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised vehicle and work environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Current HC (Heavy Combination) licence – minimum requirement
• Current Forklift Licence
• Previous experience operating HC vehicles
• Experience operating trucks fitted with cranes
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance

• Understanding of load restraint and transport requirements

• Good communication and customer service skills

• A reliable, punctual and self-motivated approach
• A professional presentation and positive attitude
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
