Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver engaging lessons that integrate social studies content with professional skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Utilize diverse teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic and skill development.
Create an inclusive and interactive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters essential life skills.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects that enrich the learning experience.
Encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities that promote social studies understanding and professional skill growth.
Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and engagement.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational trends and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field.
Experience teaching Social Studies at the Secondary level is preferred.
Strong understanding of integrating professional skills with social studies education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students and collaborate with staff and parents.
