Town & Country Services is hiring a full-time Generator Maintenance Technician to join our team in Tonica, IL. You'll perform on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for residential and light commercial generators, ensuring our customers have reliable backup power when they need it most. What You'll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance on standby and backup generators
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair generator malfunctions
- Test electrical and mechanical systems; verify functionality
- Respond to service calls from residential & commercial customers
- Install, inspect, and maintain fuel systems, wiring, connections
- Document all service work and maintain detailed records
- Assist with generator installations as needed
- Communicate technical issues clearly to customers & team
- Follow safety procedures, manufacturer specs, and company protocols
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles responsibly
- Work collaboratively with technicians and support team • Continue developing technical skills through training
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- High-level craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Mechanical experience, especially with small engines, is a plus. Electrical experience is a bonus!
