Job Summary
A leading steel manufacturing plant in Najaf is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in maintaining industrial welding machines, particularly CNC welding equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical faults, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of production machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on industrial welding machines and production equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and identify their root causes.
- Maintain and troubleshoot CNC welding machines and related industrial equipment.
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime.
- Inspect mechanical components and replace damaged or worn-out parts when necessary.
- Monitor machine performance and ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with the production team to minimize unplanned interruptions.
- Maintain maintenance records and prepare technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and technical standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial machinery maintenance.
- Strong practical experience with welding machines, particularly CNC welding equipment or similar machinery.
- Good knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a manufacturing environment.
- Fluent in both Arabic and Persian (Farsi).
- Must be a resident of Najaf Governorate.
