About this role
Plan, deploy, upgrade, migrate, and troubleshoot DB2 system
· Ensure proper configuration and tuning of database system
· Ensure successful backup and disaster recovery processes for database system
· Perform restores as needed
· Configure automated database deployment
· Interface with the development team to aid in design and development tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- · with at least 3+ years' administering IBM DB2 on Unix/Linux operating systems
- · Proficient in IBM AIX , Unix and Power environment
- · Fluent in DB2 programming language
- · Proficient in database design and development
- · Experience in performance tuning and optimization
- · Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Analytical and problem-solving skills
- · Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- · Attention to detail and accuracy
- · Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt
