About this role
AlphaGov (Casa Moon LLC d/b/a AlphaGov) delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.
We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. We build ready teams for live pursuits — not speculative staffing banks.
This Project Manager role owns delivery after award — kickoff through closeout — for AlphaGov government classification, compensation, workforce, and related consulting contracts. Pre-award packaging and capture stay with operations; this seat is reliable post-award execution and client outcomes.
What you'll do
- Lead post-award kickoff, schedule, workplan, risk tracking, and status reporting
- Coordinate SMEs, vendors, and municipal/state/federal/education stakeholders
- Drive deliverable reviews, decision logs, dependency management, and issue escalation
- Align written products to contract requirements and quality standards
- Coordinate invoicing inputs and contract closeout
- Support occasional client travel for meetings or project needs
Requirements
- Required:
- Proven project management experience on government or public-sector contracts (municipal, state, federal, or education)
- Strong client communication, schedule management, risk control, and SME/vendor coordination
- Experience running post-award kickoffs, workplans, status meetings, deliverable reviews, invoicing coordination, and closeout
- Comfortable with remote-first delivery and occasional travel
Nice to have
- Familiarity with public-sector contracting norms; SAM and UEI familiarity
- PMP or equivalent project leadership credential
- Experience on class/comp or workforce consulting delivery (not required)
