Welder - Manufacturing (Veteran Program)

About this role

ERS Elite is hiring Welders to support high-volume manufacturing operations for a leading transportation equipment manufacturer. This role is responsible for performing MIG welding and fabrication on structural steel and aluminum components used in trailer production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding (GMAW) on steel and/or aluminum components
• Weld structural assemblies including frames, crossmembers, and panels
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
• Inspect welds for quality, penetration, and compliance with specifications
• Use hand tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment to prepare materials
• Maintain production pace while meeting quality standards

Requirements

• Preferred Experience
• 1+ years of welding experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments
• Experience with MIG welding (GMAW) required; aluminum welding a plus
• Ability to pass a hands-on weld test (fillet and/or groove welds)
• Familiarity with production environments and quality standards

• Mechanical maintenance (automotive, diesel, aviation)
• Construction, engineering, or equipment repair
