About this role
To apply plaster, render, and related finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in plastering, rendering, skimming, and patch repairs.
- Ability to prepare surfaces before plaster application.
- Knowledge of plastering materials, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
- Strong time-management and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare walls, ceilings, and surfaces for plastering.
- Mix and apply plaster, render, and other finishing materials.
- Apply tape & joint & sand to plasterboard
- Apply external render using cement and sand render
- Apply stucco or similar external render systems to insulation systems
- Repair damaged plasterwork and carry out maintenance work.
- Install decorative mouldings and finishes where required.
- Ensure work is completed to a high standard of quality.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
- Comply with site health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other trades and site personnel.
- Strong knowledge of plastering systems and techniques
