About the role

We’re hiring an HVAC Design Engineer to deliver heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning designs for commercial and mixed-use projects. You’ll own load calculations, equipment selection, duct and pipe layouts, and coordination with architecture, structure, and other MEP disciplines through construction documentation.

This role suits someone who is strong in HVAC fundamentals and comfortable working in a BIM-coordinated environment.

What you’ll do

  • Design HVAC systems for offices, residential, and light industrial buildings
  • Perform heating/cooling load calculations and select AHUs, FCUs, chillers, boilers, and VRF systems
  • Produce schematics, layouts, schedules, and specifications for tender and construction
  • Coordinate services in Revit / BIM with architecture, structure, electrical, and plumbing
  • Support clash resolution and respond to RFIs during construction
  • Review shop drawings and assist with commissioning handovers where needed
  • Apply local codes, energy-efficiency targets, and indoor-air-quality requirements

Tools (indicative)

  • Revit MEP / AutoCAD
  • Load calculation and selection software
  • Navisworks or equivalent for coordination reviews

Interview process

  • Intro call (30 min)
  • Technical conversation on system selection + coordination (45–60 min)
  • Short practical exercise (load / schematic / coordination scenario)
  • Final team fit conversation

To apply

Apply via this posting. Include a short note on a recent HVAC system you designed, the constraints you faced, and what you would improve next time.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional HVAC / MEP design experience
  • Solid knowledge of psychrometrics, ventilation rates, and hydronic/air systems
  • Experience producing construction-ready drawings and equipment schedules
  • Familiarity with Revit MEP or equivalent CAD/BIM tools
  • Clear technical communication with project managers and design partners (English required)
  • Ability to balance performance, cost, and buildability

Nice to have

  • Experience with MagiCAD, HAP, IES, or similar calculation tools
  • Knowledge of EU / Polish building energy regulations
  • Exposure to VRF, heat-recovery ventilation, and low-carbon system design
  • Site experience during installation or commissioning
  • Professional engineer registration or working toward it
