Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement effective Social Studies lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum.
Create an inclusive and interactive classroom environment that engages students in discussions on history, geography, civics, and social issues.
Utilize varied teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to encourage academic growth.
Encourage extracurricular activities related to social studies to deepen student understanding and interest.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum integration and share best teaching practices.
Maintain open communication with parents regarding student development and classroom activities.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on educational trends and methodologies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, History, or a related field.
Proven teaching experience in Social Studies at the secondary level is preferred.
Strong knowledge of social studies content including history, geography, and civics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
Ability to engage and inspire students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
