Responsibilities
- -Administer and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines.
- -Proactively monitor system performance and identify potential issues.
- -Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as patching, upgrades, and security hardening.
- -Troubleshoot and resolve virtualization-related issues.
- -Implement and manage VMware HA and DRS clusters for high availability and resource optimization.
- -Manage vSAN clusters, including provisioning storage, configuring storage policies, and monitoring performance.
- -Utilize virtualization migration tools for seamless VM migrations.
- -Implement and manage Veeam backup and recovery solutions, including failover testing and disaster recovery planning.
- -Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of the virtual infrastructure.
- -Document system configurations and procedures.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience as a VMware System Administrator.
- -Strong understanding of VMware vSphere architecture and components.
- -Hands-on experience with ESXi, vCenter Server, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and DRS.
- -Experience with vSAN cluster management and configuration.
- -Proficiency in using virtualization migration tools.
- -Experience with Veeam backup and recovery solutions, including failover and disaster recovery.
- Knowledge with Nutanix administration.
- Knowledge of VxRail infrastructure.
- VMware certifications (e.g., VCP)
