Facilities Technician/Engineer (Controls & Instrumentation)

Location: Klang Valley

Working Days: 6 days per week

Project Scope: Data Center/infrastructure projects

Reports to: Project Manager

Role Summary

Operate and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and environmental sensors (HVAC, UPS, generators).
Manage, calibrate, and repair sensors, PLCs, and control hardware.
Respond to alarms and conduct preventive maintenance on critical infrastructure.
Respond immediately to system alarms or malfunctions, diagnose issues, and implement repairs on controls and monitoring equipment.

Continuously monitor BMS, EPMS, and Fire Alarm systems.
Perform calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sensors (temperature/humidity), actuators, controllers, and instrumentation for HVAC and electrical systems.
Support operations for UPS systems, backup generators, chillers, and electrical distribution.
Conduct signal simulation in various transmitters and instruments, and check readings at the control room.
Required Experience
3-4+ years working in data centers, critical facilities, or industrial automation.
Degree, diploma, or certification in electronics, automation, or a related technical field.
Strong understanding of HVAC, PLCs, and BMS (e.g., Schneider Electric, Siemens).
Experience with EPMS and electrical systems.

Subcontractor/building management company providing Electrical, Civil, and Telecommunication services.
Large and growing client base with a strong order book, particularly in data centers.
