Role overview

We are looking for a Java Developer to join Quality & Reliability (QnR) and design, develop, deploy, and support complex Information Systems for our customers. The job holders will have the opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of technologies to develop a solid background in the field of applications development.

Requirements

• What you'll work on:
• Design, develop, and maintain Java and Spring Boot applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following software development best practices
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and design relational database solutions
• Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application quality and security
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
• Participate in Agile development processes, technical documentation, and application releases
• Maintain and optimize existing applications, continuously improving performance and functionality
• What you bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
• 2–4 years of professional experience in Java development (Java 8+), including Spring Boot and Java EE applications
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework (Spring Boot, WebFlux, Spring Data, Spring Security), JPA/Hibernate, and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
• Experience with RESTful application development, database design, code optimization, testing, debugging, and technical documentation
• Familiarity with JUnit, Mockito, Maven/Gradle, Git, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Design Patterns, and TDD
• Knowledge of Microservices, Spring Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL, and messaging technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) is an advantage
• Exposure to ReactJS, JEE frameworks/application servers, XML/XSD, CI/CD tools, and Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Previous involvement in Public Sector projects will be considered a strong asset
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and time management skills, with an organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative mindset
