About this role

The Endocrinologist provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of disorders of the endocrine system. This physician delivers patient-centered care focused on long-term management of hormonal and metabolic conditions in outpatient and, as applicable, inpatient or consultative settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, adrenal and pituitary disorders, osteoporosis, and lipid disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines
• Provide ongoing chronic disease management and patient follow-up
• Interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies related to endocrine conditions
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education activities

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Pediatric residency program, followed by Endocrinology fellowship training
• Board certified or board eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
• Unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in the practicing state

• Work Environment
• Primarily outpatient clinical setting
• May include inpatient consultations or limited call responsibilities, depending on practice needs
