Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join a U.S.-based chiropractic practice. The primary focus of this role is medical billing and revenue cycle management , with some light administrative support as needed.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with medical billing in a chiropractic practice , is highly comfortable working with insurance claims and accounts receivable, and has direct experience using ChiroTouch EMR .

This position requires someone who can work independently, stay organized, follow up consistently, and communicate effectively with a U.S.-based healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform insurance verifications and confirm patient benefits and coverage.
  • Handle insurance pre-authorizations as required.
  • Prepare, submit, and follow up on medical claims.
  • Monitor claims status and resolve billing issues or rejected/denied claims.
  • Manage accounts receivable (A/R) and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Review accounts for accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Follow up with insurance companies regarding unpaid or pending claims.
  • Maintain accurate billing documentation and patient account information.
  • Use ChiroTouch to manage billing-related information and workflows.
  • Provide light administrative support related to billing and patient accounts when needed.
  • Communicate professionally with the U.S.-based healthcare team.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
  • What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is an experienced medical billing professional , not simply a general virtual assistant. They should be able to independently manage day-to-day billing responsibilities, understand the insurance and claims process, and work confidently inside ChiroTouch .

  • ChiroTouch experience is mandatory for this position.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on medical billing experience.
  • Previous experience working with a chiropractic practice .
  • Hands-on experience with ChiroTouch EMR — NON-NEGOTIABLE.
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing and claims processes.
  • Experience with insurance verification and pre-authorizations .
  • Experience managing accounts receivable (A/R) .
  • Strong understanding of insurance claims follow-up and resolution.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Comfortable working with a U.S.-based healthcare team.
  • Reliable internet connection and professional work-from-home setup.
  • Ability to work the required Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM schedule .

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working specifically with U.S. chiropractic practices.
  • Experience handling denied, rejected, or unpaid claims.
  • Experience with insurance follow-up and payment posting.
  • Familiarity with chiropractic billing workflows and terminology.
  • Experience using Intermedia phone systems .
  • Additional healthcare administrative experience.

Benefits

Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with open to negotiate, depending on skill set and experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9-6 Pacific Standard Time.
