About this role

MAAS Companies manages school, community college, and university construction programs across California. We place owner-side project and construction management professionals with districts and campuses including the Los Angeles Unified School District, the Los Angeles Community College District, and the California State University.

This general application lets you share your current resume and experience with our recruiting team. You only need to apply once. When a role opens that fits your background, we will reach out to you directly.

Roles We Hire For:

  • Owner's Authorized Representatives and construction project managers
  • Senior project managers and program managers
  • Assistant project managers and project engineers
  • Construction schedulers working in Primavera P6
  • Design managers and design associates
  • Constructability and QA/QC plan reviewers
  • Project controls specialists and cost analysts
  • Inspectors and field supervisors

Requirements

  • What You Bring:
  • Experience in construction, construction management, design, or project controls, ideally on school, college, university, or other public agency projects
  • A current resume that lists your employers, titles, and dates, and the projects you worked on with their construction values
  • The ability to work on site in Southern California, since most of our roles are full time and in person

Benefits

Pay depends on the role and level. Current MAAS openings range from $132,000 to $257,000 per year.

Benefits

health, dental, and vision at low cost; 401k; three weeks of PTO; and an ESOP (employee stock ownership) at no cost to you, with a 3% Safe Harbor contribution vested on day one.

Why MAAS:

MAAS has spent nearly 40 years earning the trust of 50+ educational institutions across California, managing over $10B in projects. That track record means the work here is stable, funded, and consequential. You are not chasing the next contract.

As a MAAS employee, you are also an owner. The company is 100% employee-owned through an ESOP, a retirement benefit provided at no cost to you, on top of your salary. MAAS is a profitable, well-run organization and our share price has more than doubled since the plan's inception, with continued growth year over year. Your ownership stake builds the longer you stay, and ESOP participants nationally tend to accumulate 2.5x more in retirement savings than employees at non-ESOP companies.

In an industry not known for prioritizing culture, 96% of MAAS employees say it is a great place to work, and 100% say people genuinely care about each other.
