Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Gastroenterology to fill an opening with a multi-specialty practice located in Bronx, New York. This role focuses on providing specialized gastrointestinal care to patients in a collaborative outpatient setting.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Must have an active New York State Nurse Practitioner license. Must be Board Certified.
- Experience: Must have at least 6 months of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in gastroenterology.
- Technical
Skills
- Proficient in gastrointestinal assessments, diagnostic testing, medication management, and electronic health records.
- Soft
Skills
Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive gastrointestinal assessments and manage acute and chronic GI conditions.
- Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests including endoscopy, colonoscopy, and laboratory results.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Educate patients and families on GI conditions, treatment options, and dietary modifications.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
