Staff Cost Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• ● Month-End Close: Prepare and review monthly closing entries, ensuring transactions are complete, accurate, and recorded in the correct period.
• ● Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

● Shared Services Coordination: Collaborate with shared service functions such as AP, AR, and payroll to ensure all transactions are properly recorded and pertinent reporting is completed and distributed.

• ● Operational Financial Oversight: Collaborate with operations management and contract administration to manage and oversee financial operations.

● Cost Analysis and Reporting: Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management and stakeholders, including job and branch cost variance analysis against budget and the latest operational forecasts.

• ● Budgeting and Planning: Work closely with operational management teams and the FP&A department during the annual budget process, including the capital budget.
• ● Financial Performance Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance and drive business growth.
• ● Internal Controls: Maintain the integrity of the internal control environment around the month-end process.

Requirements

Candidate Profile

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

● Minimum of two (2) years of experience in operations, managerial, or cost accounting.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills.

● Ability to work with all levels of management, including corporate and regional leadership.

● Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret cost data and provide actionable insights.

● Advanced software skills, including Excel and database management.

● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
