Position: Tool and Die Maker

This role is ideal for skilled professionals looking to expand their expertise in precision manufacturing and work alongside experienced tool and die makers.

Job Responsibilities

Tool & Die Work
· Construct, alter, and repair tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to close tolerances.
· Develop fabrication strategies for designed dies using suitable machining resources.
Machine Operations
· Set up and operate machine tools including:
o Lathes
o Milling machines
o Shapers
o Grinders
· Machine parts according to engineering specifications.
Blueprint & Design Interpretation
· Study and interpret:
o Engineering blueprints
o Tool orders
o Technical specifications
o Drawings and sketches
· Prepare layout and detail drawings.
· Create preliminary sketches when required.
Quality & Safety
· Meet production quality and efficiency standards.
· Follow all workplace safety regulations.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education
· Minimum 4 years of high school or vocational school education.
· Apprenticeship completion is considered an advantage.
Experience
· Minimum 3 years of related Tool and Die Maker experience.

Technical Skills

· Ability to read and write English.
· Ability to interpret:
o Engineering specifications
o Operative sheets
o Technical drawings
o Sketches
· Strong mathematical aptitude including:
o Shop mathematics
o Geometry
o Trigonometry
· Experience working with:
o Close dimensional tolerances
o Precision measuring instruments
· Knowledge of machine shop practices and operations.

Soft Skills

· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to work independently.
· Detail-oriented and quality-focused mindset.
