About Fluidstack
We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.
We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.
We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!
How We Operate
-
- Extreme ownership. Full autonomy. Own things end to end often taking on scope outside your core role without being asked to get things done.
-
- Velocity. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.
-
- First principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.
-
- Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
The ICT Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
-
- Design the physical layer AGI is trained on. ISP/OSP cable plants carry hundreds of thousands of fiber terminations per building, rail-optimized for the densest GPU fabrics ever built, at 800G today and 1.6T next.
-
- One design, every site. Turn the cable plant from a bespoke months-long exercise into a stamped reference architecture deployed across tens of gigawatts of capacity by 2027, validated once and built everywhere.
-
- Design for silicon that doesn't exist yet. Every GPU generation rewrites the density, optics, and pathway math, but the plant you spec must survive three of them.
Role Scope
-
- Own the reference architecture for the datacenter cable plant across ISP and OSP, from fiber counts and pathway design to the stamped design deployed at every site.
-
- Design structured cabling and connectivity for the densest GPU fabrics ever built, at 800G today and 1.6T next.
-
- Turn a bespoke, months-long cable plant design into a validated reference architecture that a team can deploy across tens of gigawatts of capacity.
-
- Spec the physical layer to survive multiple GPU generations, each of which rewrites the density, optics, and pathway math.
-
- Set the standards and lead the engineers and vendors who take the architecture from design to installed and tested across many concurrent builds.
What We're Looking For
-
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
-
- You've architected the physical cable plant across ISP, OSP, structured cabling, and pathways for large datacenter or campus builds, not just designed a single room.
-
- You've designed for high-density, high-speed fabrics at 400G, 800G, or beyond and made the optics, fiber-count, and pathway calls yourself.
-
- You've turned a one-off design into a repeatable reference architecture that others deployed without you in the room.
-
- You've specced infrastructure that had to survive multiple hardware generations, and it did.
-
- You've led engineers and coordinated vendors and contractors to take a design from paper to installed and tested at scale.
-
- You catch the density, thermal, or pathway problem in design review, before it becomes a rip-and-replace in the field.
-
- Bonus: AI or HPC cluster networking. Rail-optimized GPU fabric topologies. BICSI RCDD or equivalent. Hyperscale or multi-site cable plant standardization. 1.6T optics roadmaps.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
