About this role

Ellipsis Labs is a profitable, venture-backed New York startup building performant DeFi protocols on high-throughput decentralized infrastructure. Our long-term mission is to build a more efficient, transparent, and fair financial system.

Our flagship product, Phoenix Perpetuals, brings professional-grade perpetual futures to Solana. Phoenix has processed over $4 billion in trading volume and is growing 20% month over month, adding to the more than $300 billion our products have facilitated to date. Behind Phoenix is a lean, high-caliber team with experience at top trading firms, blockchain companies, and tech companies.

Ellipsis Labs is seeking a Head of Strategy to join our team. Working directly with our co-founders and alongside our existing growth team, you'll shape and execute our go-to-market strategy. In this role, you will:

  • Own growth strategy and execution for Phoenix across target user types (traders, market makers, integrators) and channels
  • Deploy capital into scalable, sustainable, and measurable growth strategies, including marketing and incentives
  • Raise the bar for operational rigor throughout the GTM organization

Qualifications

  • Required
  • Demonstrated rigor in written and verbal communication
  • Ability and desire to pick up context in a deeply technical domain where details matter
  • Strong work ethic and high agency
  • Bias toward reasoning from first principles
  • Hands-on experience in a go-to-market function
  • Preferred
  • Experience in systematic trading, exchanges, and crypto
  • Experience managing and measuring user acquisition and marketing budgets
  • Familiarity with perpetual futures, derivatives, and on-chain trading
