Tutor (ASD Experience Required) – Fremont, CA

A welcoming family in Fremont, CA 94536 is seeking an experienced, patient, and engaging private tutor to support their 5th-grade child. The focus will be on key academic subjects and building foundational skills, tailored to a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Schedule:

• Start date: November 1, 2026.
• 5 hours per week (1 hour per day, Monday–Friday)

Preferred availability options within the following windows:

• Monday: 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
• Tuesday: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
• Wednesday: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
• Thursday: 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
• Friday: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1-on-1 academic tutoring focused on Math, English, Science, Geography, and History.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to support learning style and needs associated with ASD.
• Assist with homework, concepts reinforcement, and skill-building in specified core subjects.

Requirements

• Proven experience tutoring or working educationally with children on the Autism Spectrum (ASD).
• Strong academic background covering 5th-grade curriculum in Math, English, Science, Geography, and History.
• Willingness to become an approved vendor through BloomingTogether and be paid under the California DDS regional center (includes completing standard onboarding/employment paperwork for 1099 issuing; no approval process required).
• Compensation:
• $34–$37 per hour based on experience
