Project Manager
- Construction
Location: Project-Based (Wisconsin, Missouri, Wyoming, Texas, and future project locations)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Environment: Primarily Site-Based (Long-Term Project Assignments)
Lead the Development of Hyperscale Data Centers and Mission-Critical Infrastructure
The successful delivery of hyperscale data centers begins long before vertical construction starts. These projects require the coordinated execution of massive site-development and infrastructure programs involving land clearing, mass earthwork, utility installation, power infrastructure, logistics planning, procurement, and multidisciplinary construction leadership.
Project Managers play a critical role in transforming greenfield sites into mission-critical campuses by aligning customers, subcontractors, suppliers, engineering teams, and field operations around a common execution strategy. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer expectations.
About Michels Infrastructure Solutions
Michels Infrastructure Solutions (MIS) brings together the full capabilities of the Michels Family of Companies under a Super General Contractor (Super GC) model, providing mission-critical owners and developers with a single point of accountability for every phase of project execution. By combining self-performed specialty design, construction, and commissioning services, MIS delivers large-scale, multidisciplinary projects with greater control over safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
MIS specializes in the delivery of hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities, leveraging expertise across mass grading and site development, wet and dry utilities, fiber and telecommunications infrastructure, ground improvement, deep foundations, structural concrete, power infrastructure, and commissioning. Our integrated delivery approach enables customers to partner with a single-source team capable of executing some of North America's most complex and demanding infrastructure projects.
Position Overview
As a Project Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects from preconstruction through commissioning and project closeout.
During the early phases of project development, your primary focus will be managing large-scale site development and infrastructure programs including land clearing, mass earthwork, grading, drainage systems, utility installation, access roads, logistics planning, temporary facilities, power infrastructure coordination, and overall project readiness for future vertical construction activities.
You will be responsible for project safety, financial performance, scheduling, procurement, contract administration, resource planning, customer communication, risk management, and overall project execution.
In this role, you will serve as a primary liaison between customers, subcontractors, suppliers, field operations, engineering teams, utility providers, commissioning personnel, and executive stakeholders. Success requires strong leadership, financial acumen, operational expertise, and the ability to manage complex multidisciplinary construction programs while maintaining alignment with project objectives.
Project Managers are expected to spend significant time onsite working directly with field leadership, customers, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and long-term campus development success.
