Advertised Position Title:

Groundskeeper/Custodian (Second Shift)

Job Description:

This position is responsible for performing grounds work and custodial work as directed by the supervisor.

Essential Functions:

This position works as a grounds person for six months (2 quarters) out of the year (during warm season), performing maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, mulching, spraying for weed control and snow removal.
This position works as a custodian for six months (2 quarters) out of the year (during winter season), performing custodial tasks such as cleaning which includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, bathroom cleaning, and event setup and teardown and snow removal as needed.
This position is responsible for performing grounds work and custodial work as directed by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

For Grounds: Knowledge of use of equipment such as mowers, trimmers, utility vehicles and tools associated with a grounds position. For Custodial: Knowledge of use of equipment such as different types of mops, cleaning tool and chemicals, vacuum cleaners and other.
