Southwest Construction is looking for a Truck Technician to join our TEAM!

Responsibilities

Responsible for proper maintenance and repair of our modern high-tech fleet of light duty and medium duty trucks and towable equipment.
Possess computer and writing skills to properly document repair made.
Working knowledge helpful for Ford 6.0l, 6.4l and 6.7l engine.
Road test, inspect and troubleshoot to assess condition and diagnose to repair.
Troubleshoot, adjust, disassemble and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, a/c and brake systems on fleet trucks.
Adjust or repair liftgate systems hydraulic components and wiring systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, replace and rewire electrical system components, such as ignition, lights and electrical controls, including computer-controlled components.
Field repairs may be necessary when equipment is on-site during construction projects.
Work in conjunction with other shop and jobsite personnel.
Maintain safe and clean work area.
Must possess own tools.
Work 40+ hours per week.

High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
Graduated or attending classes from an accredited technical school.
Or three (2) years of experience in maintenance and repair of gas light duty and diesel medium duty vehicles.
Valid driver license with good driving record.
ASE certification or dealer certified helpful but not required.

Must be able to lift-up to one hundred (100) pounds.
Requires knowledge of materials, parts, tools and basic principles to repair trucks and trailers.
Availability to work overtime including weekends if needed.
