About Dwelly

Dwelly is building the AI operating system for residential lettings. Its growing network of agencies provides its AI with real-world data, continuous feedback, and control over complete workflows, making exceptional service the standard for landlords and tenants. Today, Dwelly operates more than 15,000 properties and $470 million in GMV, making it one of the UK’s ten largest lettings operators. The company has raised $263 million.

We’re a fast-growing, product-focused company, backed by top-tier investors and led by a team with deep experience in real estate, technology, and operations.

Position Summary

The Landlord Business Development Manager is a central sales role responsible for growing revenue from the landlords of all Dwelly agencies. Working alongside each agency’s MD, our valuers and the central Growth team, the role sells our growth initiatives directly to landlords.

The goal is simple: win more properties and higher service tiers from our landlords, and keep them with us for years.

What You'll Do

  • In every area: find the landlord's real problem, offer what solves it, handle the no, and log the outcome and reason in the CRM.
  • Share of wallet. Find which of our landlords' properties sit with other agents or are self-managed, and why. Offer to bring them to Dwelly and test which value propositions win them.
  • Upsell to Fully Managed. Move Let Only and Rent Collection landlords up by finding what costs them time or money: voids, arrears, compliance, contractors.
  • New service tiers. With the MDs, sell the relaunched, higher-priced tiers that include more, such as rent guarantee. Explain what changes and what the landlord gets for the higher price.
  • Inbound leads. Build and run qualification and warm-up for the leads central marketing brings, up to a booked valuer visit.
  • Share what works. Keep a library of value propositions, objections and answers, and pass it to MDs and valuers.
  • How success is measured
  • Targets are set each quarter with the commercial lead.
  • New revenue added (headline): annual fees from properties won or upgraded through you
  • Properties won from existing landlords
  • Landlords upgraded to higher service tiers
  • Inbound conversion: lead → valuer visit → signed terms of business
  • What we are looking for (Essential)
  • 3+ years of consultative sales to landlords or property investors in UK lettings (e.g. business development manager, senior valuer, lettings negotiator)
  • Strong discovery, objection handling and closing skills, both by phone and face to face
  • Disciplined CRM habits: every conversation, outcome and reason logged

Nice to have

  • Experience selling Fully Managed, rent guarantee or other higher-tier lettings services
  • Experience qualifying inbound leads or working closely with a marketing team
  • Working knowledge of UK lettings compliance, enough to use it as a reason for landlords to move to Fully Managed
  • Experience working across several branches or agencies at once

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on performance, recognising exceptional contributions to our integration success.

What is it like being a Dwell-er?

Feel free to check out Dwelly Core Principles. That’s about what we believe in, how we operate and make decisions.

What we offer

is not a fancy office or a static workplace. Instead, this is solving one of worlds’ most complex problems in the largest consumer industry in the world (residential rentals), to improve the experience for >30% of households (>5M in the UK, and >100M including EU and US) that live in rental homes.

This is about disrupting the largest, most antiquated industry in the world, with one of the strongest operational and technical teams that exist in the UK and the EU. We work hard, and we shoot for extremely ambitious results. But we want people to be proud of what they’ve built and be able to look back and say one day “hell yeah, that was me that did it all”.

  • Customer obsession rather than competitive focus
  • Passion for invention
  • Operational excellence
  • Long-term thinking
