Requirements

• Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license, reliable transportation, and clean driver's abstract
• 5+ years concrete construction experience in building sidewalks, ramps, aprons, grade beams, pile caps, pads, walls, and slabs
• Valid CSTS-2020 with WHIMIS
• First aid and other training certificates are considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Construct forms, tying reinforcement, and placement of concrete
• Expert use of finishing tools
• Knowledge to use equipment at the proper time of the place-finishing sequence
• Spreading and smoothing concrete
• Cutting in expansion joints and troweling edges
• Applying waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work
• Monitoring the material to ensure it hardens to a durable finish
