Engineering Discovery Trainee

Key Responsibilities

• ·         Support the Engineering team in developing and reviewing technical documentation, drawings, and project specifications
• ·         Contribute to the Tendering team in preparing bid packages, scope reviews, and cost estimates for service projects
• ·         Assist Project Managers with scheduling, progress tracking, risk identification, and internal and client-facing communications
• ·         Collaborate across operations and Marketing & Sales teams to support alignment through  project phases
• ·         Participate in technical reviews and structured learning activities to build knowledge of ABB's electrification service portfolio
• ·         Identify and escalate project risks, documentation gaps, or delivery issues to support on-time, on-budget outcomes
• ·         Apply learnings from each rotation to contribute meaningfully to team goals while developing your own professional competencies

Qualifications

• ·         Recent graduate (2025-2027) with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• ·         Foundational understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, or a related technical field
• ·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with careful attention to detail
• ·         Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences
• ·         Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively across teams and functions
• ·         Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a project-driven environment
• ·         Familiarity with engineering or project tools such as [ AutoCAD, SAP, SOLIDWORKS MS Project,SALESFORCE] is an asset
