About Us

Loyalty is earned, it’s not a mandatory term of employment, and we believe it speaks volumes about METRIC. that people join our team and stay.

Our team is growing and we’re looking for Skilled Labourers who are ready to keep building their careers in civil construction. Whether your goal is to become a lead hand, pipe layer, operator, or superintendent, we want people who take pride in the work and want to be part of a strong crew.

About You

You have experience on civil construction sites and understand the pace, physical demands, and teamwork it takes to keep a job moving. You know how to work safely, follow direction, support the crew, and step in where needed.

You’re looking for steady, year-round work, good wages, and a company that recognizes effort. You want to keep learning, take on more responsibility, and build a long-term career with a team that does things the right way.

What You’ll Do

  • Support pipe, utility, and grading work
  • Assist with trenching, backfill, and compaction
  • Use compactors, pumps, saws, and hand tools
  • Follow site layouts, grades, and direction
  • Help maintain safe, organized worksites
  • Support production and crew efficiency

What You Can Expect From Us

  • Competitive wages starting at $32.00/hr
  • Annual bonus program
  • Paid commute (*in some cases)
  • Medical and dental benefits, life insurance, and RRSP matching
  • Paid training and certifications
  • Employee recognition program for achievements and milestones
  • Full-time, year-round work with overtime opportunities
  • A modern, innovative company culture
  • A strong commitment to safety
  • Company events and team celebrations

What We Need From You

  • Previous civil construction experience
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Ability to commute to jobsites around the Lower Mainland
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and jobsite awareness
  • Willingness to follow our Health & Safety Program

A Note About Location

Our head office is in Chilliwack, but most of our work is on jobsites throughout the Lower Mainland. You’ll usually commute directly to site, not to the Chilliwack office.
