About this role

Join AstraZeneca's Oncology Targeted Discovery team in Kendall Square for a hands-on summer internship focused on drug conjugates. As an In Vitro Oncology Intern, you will work on a specialized, short-term project supporting assay development and milestones-running cell-based experiments to evaluate novel oncology payloads and antibodies, analyzing the results, and sharing insights with scientists across the organization.

What You'll Do

Run in vitro experiments: Conduct cell-based experiments to evaluate the activity of novel oncology payloads and/or antibodies, including routine culture and maintenance of carcinoma cell lines, preparation of dosing dilutions, and execution of cytotoxicity and/or functional assays such as CellTiter-Glo, immunofluorescence staining, and high-content imaging.

Manage experimental workflows: Plan, execute, and document experiments by maintaining accurate laboratory records, organizing study designs, tracking results, and ensuring data quality in support of oncology targeted discovery research projects.

Analyze and visualize data: Use tools including and beyond Excel, such as GraphPad Prism and Genedata Screener, to generate clear summaries and identify trends that support decision-making for iterative studies.

Communicate results: Prepare concise presentations and scientific updates for diverse audiences, including project team members and research scientists across departments, effectively communicating experimental outcomes and big-picture insights.
