Pre- Sales Engineer

About this role

Summary:

As a Presales Engineer at DDN, you will be the trusted technical advisor to our customers and partners throughout the sales cycle. You will partner with Account Executives to understand customer requirements, design high-performance storage and data solutions for AI and HPC environments, and prove their value through presentations, proofs of concept and benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Accompanying sales staff in customer negotiations
• Coordinating with sales and development departments
• Testing new products and solutions, and conducting proof-of-concept (PoC) demonstrations
• Providing technical support to distributors and end users during implementation
• Providing post-sales support in the event of system failures
• Preparing product documentation
• Delivering presentations at seminars and other events
• Qualifications for this role are:

- Communication skills

• Pre-sales experience at an IT solutions company and experience in high-level design of server/storage systems
• Knowledge of Linux (UNIX)
• Knowledge of storage hardware and file systems
• Knowledge of networking
• Pre-sales experience with AI platforms (proposals and high-level design)
• Pre-sales experience with cloud platforms (proposals and high-level design)
• Pre-sales experience with virtualization platforms (proposals and high-level design)
