Summary
Maintains, fabricates, installs, repairs and/or replaces, cleans and tests the facility piping, valves, heat exchangers, safety relief systems.
Primary
Responsibilities
Maintains, fabricates, installs, repairs and/or replaces piping systems, valves, heat exchangers and safety relief systems in accordance with applicable procedures and specifications.
- Utilizes electric, pneumatic, and hydraulically driven tools and equipment.
- Utilizes cutting equipment.
- Rigs for lifting equipment.
- Preforms preventative maintenance.
- Cleans up work area following completion of assigned task and properly disposed of waste materials.
- Returns tools and equipment to proper storage areas.
- Completes other routine or assigned duties as necessary to meet the maintenance department work schedule to minimize equipment downtime.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum four years of industrial pipe welding experience on carbon steel and stainless-steel piping systems as a primary skill, along with attainment of qualifying skills in two additional maintenance crafts sufficient to assist other craftsmen in the performance of their duties.
