About Kantoko

Over 1 million adults in Australia have ADHD. Most have had to fit themselves into a broken system: long waitlists, disconnected providers, high costs, and support that drops after they get a diagnosis.

Kantoko is building something different.

We’ve designed ADHD care around how people actually live, work and think. One connected care team, ongoing support, and care that can adapt as life changes. Making it easier to access, easier to navigate and easier to stick with.

We’re growing, and we’re looking for a Head of Marketing who can help us reach the right people.

About the Role

We're looking for our Founding Head of Marketing to lead and take ownership of marketing at Kantoko.

As our most senior marketing hire, you'll bring the experience and judgement to shape our marketing direction, identify opportunities and decide where we should focus. You'll work closely with the founding team, with the autonomy to make decisions and the responsibility to turn them into results.

This is a hands-on leadership role. We're looking for someone with experience across different areas of marketing who's excited by the challenge of building a function at an early-stage company. You'll be just as comfortable setting the strategy as you are rolling up your sleeves to bring ideas to life.

What You'll Own

  • Brand and positioning: Build a distinctive, trusted brand in a category where credibility and patient experience really matter.
  • Growth and acquisition: Lead our acquisition strategy, strengthen existing channels and identify new opportunities to reach patients.
  • Marketing across the patient journey: Connect acquisition, content, communications and lifecycle marketing into a more cohesive experience.
  • Strategy and execution: Own marketing priorities, decide where to invest, experiment, measure what's working and get hands-on to make things happen.
  • Building the function: Shape the marketing capabilities, processes and resources we need as we grow.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a versatile, commercially minded marketer with the experience and judgement to lead marketing at Kantoko.

Someone who enjoys the breadth of marketing, is comfortable making decisions independently and is excited by the opportunity to build something at an early stage.

You'll probably enjoy this role if you:

  • Have experience across multiple areas of marketing, with a good understanding of how they fit together.
  • Have experience taking ownership of marketing initiatives end to end, from identifying opportunities and setting direction through to execution and results.
  • Bring strong commercial thinking alongside creative judgement and an instinct for what resonates with customers.
  • Know how to prioritise, make trade-offs and decide where to focus resources.
  • Are comfortable working in an early-stage environment, where priorities evolve and there isn't always an established playbook.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively, testing ideas and learning from what works and what doesn't.
  • Take initiative, enjoy solving problems and care about the quality and impact of your work.

Experience in healthcare isn't essential. We're more interested in someone with the expertise, judgement, curiosity and range to help us build something meaningful.

Why work at Kantoko?

  • Be part of an early-stage team- we recently closed our seed funding round, so you’ll work closely with the founding team as we enter our next stage of exciting growth!
  • ESOP from day 1 - you'll be given ESOP so you have a piece of the value you help create.
  • Work that matters - each day you show up, you'll see how your work changes people's everyday lives.
  • Bring your whole self to work - one of our team values is to Embrace the Purple. We’re building a workplace where neurodivergent minds, queer individuals and all kinds of humans are not only safe, but empowered to do their best work.
  • Flexibility - it's a hybrid role in Sydney, with 3 days a week in Surry Hills (near Central Station). Our days in the office are often spent collaborating, brainstorming and pulling out the whiteboards!
