About this role

Assistant Superintendent – Commercial / K-12 Construction

Location: Midland, TX

Pay: $90,000–$110,000 per year, based on experience

Experience: 3+ years as an Assistant Superintendent with a commercial general contractor

About Tegrity Contractors

Tegrity Contractors is a family-owned, faith-based commercial general contractor that builds for the public: K-12 schools, police and fire stations, and other government facilities. Public projects are funded by bonds and budgets, not market swings, so our work is steady and the buildings serve communities for decades. We’re large enough to take on major public projects and small enough that you’ll work directly with leadership, not get lost in layers of management.

The Role

We’re looking for an Assistant Superintendent to help lead field operations on our Midland-area projects. You’ll work alongside the Superintendent to keep the job safe, on schedule, and built to plans and specs, and you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills and responsibility on every project.

What You’ll Do

  • Help run day-to-day jobsite activities and field operations
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries
  • Track the schedule and keep work moving toward on-time completion
  • Enforce safety standards and keep a clean, organized site
  • Review drawings and specifications to confirm work is installed correctly
  • Walk the site daily, track progress, and report updates to the Superintendent
  • Spot and solve field issues before they become problems
  • Keep daily reports, logs, photos, and project documentation current in Procore

- Support inspections and make sure the project meets all requirements

  • Required
  • 3+ years as an Assistant Superintendent with a commercial general contractor
  • Proficiency in Procore (daily logs, RFIs, submittals, drawings, photos)
  • Solid knowledge of commercial construction sequencing and safety practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents

- Clear communication and strong organizational skills

  • Must live within commuting distance of Midland, TX, or be able to relocate at your own expense
  • Preferred
  • K-12 school construction experience
  • Experience on other public or government projects
  • OSHA 30 certification

Physical Requirements

  • The following are essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform them.
  • Walk active jobsites multiple times daily, including uneven terrain, mud, and areas under construction
  • Climb ladders and stairs and access elevated work areas
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including Texas heat
  • Wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, vest)

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary: $90,000–$110,000, based on experience
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Paid major holidays
  • Stable, publicly funded project work with a family-owned company

How to Apply

Submit your resume and, in your application or a short note, list one or two commercial projects you’ve worked on (project type and approximate size). Applications without commercial general contractor experience will not be considered.

Join Tegrity Contractors and help build schools and public facilities that serve West Texas communities, with a team that values integrity, respect, and doing the job right.
