About the role

Stonewood Homes is looking for an organised, accurate and proactive accounts professional to support our New Zealand and Australian franchise operations.

You will enjoy working with numbers, communicating with people and following things through until they are resolved.

You will work alongside internal operation team and external accountants.

What you will do

• Prepare or coordinate accurate invoices and identify any missed charges.
• Follow up payments by phone and email, maintaining professional relationships with franchisees and suppliers.
• Resolve routine account queries and escalate disputes or payment concerns promptly.
• Keep fee schedules, rebate records and follow-up notes accurate and up to date.
• Provide a concise weekly update on overdue accounts, unbilled amounts and outstanding actions.
• Coordinate with our internal team and accountants to meet monthly deadlines.
• Prepare a monthly board report and analyse budget-to-actual variances
• What you will bring
• Previous experience in accounts payable and receivable, credit control or a similar hands-on accounts role.
• Confidence making follow-up calls and discussing payments professionally.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with calculations and records.
• Initiative to spot gaps, ask questions and act without repeated reminders.
• Good organisation and a reliable approach to deadlines.
• Practical experience using Xero and Excel.

Experience with supplier rebates or franchise businesses would be helpful, but we can teach you our processes. We welcome applicants with practical accounts experience, whether or not they hold a formal accounting qualification.
