Per diem anesthesiologist opportunity at HSHS St. John’s Hospital, a certified Level I trauma center in Springfield, IL. The regional medical center provides residents of central and southern Illinois with comprehensive healthcare using modern technology. Dating back to 1875, St. John’s is now a Certified Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and a Certified Level I Trauma Center. The facility has a college of nursing and is a teaching hospital affiliated with Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.

Its surgery centers are considered among the most advanced of their type in the United States.

• Hourly Rate: W2 Rate: $315/hr. / 1099 Rate: $325/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of Anesthesiology Residency
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Current medical licensure
• ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable)
• HSHS St. John's Hospital Springfield, $315/hour, Per Diem Anesthesiologist
