About this role
C.O. Williams Construction Limited is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Accounts Auditor.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of financial transactions, invoices, petty cash, payroll, and procurement records.
- Review accounting systems and internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
- Verify the accuracy of financial statements, expense reports, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor project expenditures and identify discrepancies, irregularities, or areas of financial risk.
- Prepare audit reports and provide recommendations for process improvements and corrective actions.
- Assist with budget monitoring and cost control measures across construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company financial requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge and experience in auditing.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
