POSITION OVERVIEW:As a Medical Assistant you will have the opportunity to work directly with patients, Physicians and PA-Cs. We provide you with an accelerated Dermatology Tech course upon hire to ensure you are prepared for the rigors of the job!

Specific

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and updating patient information into EMR system
• Accurately obtaining chief complaint
• Transcribing for providers during exams
• Assisting with biopsies and select surgical procedures
• Administering local anesthesia
• Educating patients on treatment plans
• Managing patient prescriptions/pathology/labs
• Assisting with cosmetic procedures
• Stocking rooms with necessary supplies
• Sanitizing all work areas throughout the day and after each patient
• Following through with individual side tasks

Experience

• College-level human A&P: 1 year (Plus)
• Medical Assisting: 1 year (Plus)

License/Certification

• Certified Medical Assistant Certification (Plus)
