Ensure Quality Across World-Class Mission-Critical Infrastructure Projects

The successful delivery of hyperscale data centers and mission-critical infrastructure depends on uncompromising quality at every stage of execution. From site development and underground utilities through structural concrete, power infrastructure, telecommunications systems, commissioning, and final turnover, quality must be embedded into every aspect of project delivery.

As a QA/QC Manager, you will lead quality assurance and quality control activities supporting some of North America's largest hyperscale data center developments. Your efforts will help ensure work is planned correctly, executed properly, documented thoroughly, and delivered in accordance with project requirements and customer expectations.

You will play a critical role in supporting project readiness, reducing rework, improving execution consistency, and ensuring successful commissioning and turnover outcomes.

About Michels Infrastructure Solutions

Michels Infrastructure Solutions (MIS) brings together the full capabilities of the Michels Family of Companies under a Super General Contractor (Super GC) model, providing mission-critical owners and developers with a single point of accountability for every phase of project execution.

By combining self-performed specialty design, construction, and commissioning services, MIS delivers large-scale, multidisciplinary projects with greater control over safety, quality, schedule, and cost.

MIS specializes in the delivery of hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities, leveraging expertise across mass grading and site development, wet and dry utilities, fiber and telecommunications infrastructure, ground improvement, deep foundations, structural concrete, power infrastructure, and commissioning. Our integrated delivery approach enables customers to partner with a single-source team capable of executing some of North America's most complex and demanding infrastructure projects.

Position Overview

As a QA/QC Manager, you will lead quality assurance and quality control activities across large-scale hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects.

During the early phases of project delivery, you will support quality planning activities associated with site development, underground utilities, concrete construction, telecommunications infrastructure, power systems, and construction readiness programs. As projects advance, you will oversee inspections, testing, documentation, turnover preparation, commissioning support, corrective-action programs, and owner acceptance activities.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining project-specific quality programs while ensuring work complies with contract requirements, technical specifications, codes, standards, customer requirements, and established project procedures.

This role serves as a key partner to Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Procurement, Field Operations, Commissioning, Quality Personnel, Subcontractors, Vendors, and Customers throughout the project lifecycle.

Success requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, organizational discipline, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality concerns before they impact project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project quality-assurance and quality-control programs.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with project specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, codes, and customer expectations.
  • Establish quality requirements supporting civil, utility, structural concrete, telecommunications, electrical, power, and commissioning activities.
  • Oversee inspection and testing activities across multiple construction disciplines.
  • Manage quality documentation, inspection reports, testing records, punch lists, non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective-action programs, and turnover documentation.
  • Coordinate quality activities with project teams, commissioning personnel, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Monitor quality-performance trends and identify opportunities to improve execution consistency and project outcomes.
  • Drive continuous-improvement initiatives that strengthen quality performance and project execution.
  • Support project-turnover readiness and long-term quality-management objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Lead QA/QC efforts supporting hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects.
  • Review construction drawings, technical specifications, contracts, quality plans, inspection requirements, testing protocols, and customer standards.
  • Develop and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality-management plans, inspection schedules, and project-quality procedures.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, field observations, quality assessments, and compliance reviews throughout construction activities.
  • Verify compliance with project requirements related to mass grading, earthwork, underground utilities, structural concrete, telecommunications systems, power infrastructure, and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate testing, inspection, and acceptance activities with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and third-party testing agencies.
  • Manage non-conformance reporting, root-cause analysis, corrective-action plans, issue-resolution processes, and lessons-learned efforts.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated into project-execution and construction-planning activities.
  • Track quality metrics, inspection logs, turnover documentation, test reports, deficiency tracking, and commissioning records.
  • Support customer audits, owner inspections, commissioning activities, acceptance testing, and final turnover requirements.
  • Assist with development and review of as-built documentation, turnover packages, quality records, and owner-deliverable requirements.
  • Provide quality training, mentoring, coaching, and guidance to project personnel and subcontractors.
  • Support project-closeout efforts to ensure quality records and turnover documentation are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and mentor QA/QC Inspectors, Coordinators, Specialists, and assigned quality personnel.
  • Establish quality standards, inspection expectations, documentation requirements, and reporting processes.
  • Foster a culture that emphasizes accountability, craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and ownership.
  • Partner with project leadership to ensure quality is incorporated into planning, procurement, execution, commissioning, and turnover activities.
  • Promote proactive problem-solving and prevention-focused quality management throughout the project lifecycle.
