Job Description:

Provides spiritual support to patients, families and staff on assigned units through the John Muir Health system. The Chaplain Resident fulfills the ACPE accredited program requirements.

Education:

• Master's Degree Theological Studies
• Preferred
• College Level Coursework CPE
• Clinical Pastoral Education
• One (1) unit
• Preferred

Experience:

1 year Healthcare

• Spiritual Care
• Preferred and/or
• Healthcare
• Chaplaincy
• Preferred

Additional Experience

Requirements

• Experience in Hospital ministry
• Preferred
• Certifications/Licensures:
• Ordination in Recognized Faith Group
• Preferred and/or
• Faith Group Endorsement
• Preferred

Skills

• Sensitivity to diverse religious and cultural practices and values.
• Maintains professional and personal integrity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)
• Basic Pastoral Skills.
• Demonstrates empath y and compassion. Reflects theologically.

• Pay Range:
• $23.00 - $23.00
• Hourly
• Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
• Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
