Industrial Painter & Material Handler

Shifts: 1st and 2nd Shift Available
Pay: Up to $23.00/hour, depending on experience
2nd Shift Differential: Additional $3.00/hour
Job Overview
Seeking a hands-on Industrial Painter & Material Handler to support daily shop production. Industrial painting accounts for approximately 20% of the role, with the remaining time focused on material handling, rigging, equipment operation, and general production tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces and apply industrial coatings using appropriate painting methods.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move, stage, load, unload, and position materials.
- Rig materials and equipment for safe movement.
- Use tape measures and other measuring tools accurately.
- Assist with production tasks across multiple shop areas.
- Complete respiratory fit testing and follow PPE, chemical-handling, and workplace safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial or production painting and coating application.
- Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, or similar material-handling equipment.
- Knowledge of rigging, load handling, and safe loading and unloading procedures.
- Ability to read measurements and use a tape measure accurately.
- Ability to pass a respiratory fit test.
- Understanding of industrial safety practices, PPE, and chemical handling.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team while handling varied production duties beyond painting.
