Job Description

Provide professional fitness and exercise guidance to hotel guests, fitness members, and visitors in accordance with Anantara standards.
Conduct fitness consultations and understand guests' individual fitness goals, needs, and preferences.
Develop safe and effective personalized exercise programs based on individual fitness levels and objectives.
Provide Personal Training sessions and demonstrate correct exercise techniques and proper use of fitness equipment.
Monitor guests and members during workouts and provide appropriate guidance to ensure exercises are performed safely and effectively.
Assist with wellness and recreational activities, including yoga, fitness workshops, and other hotel wellness programs where required.
Explain and enforce fitness centre rules, safety procedures, and health and hygiene standards.
Ensure all fitness activities are conducted in a safe, clean, and professional environment.
Inspect fitness equipment regularly and report any damaged, unsafe, or malfunctioning equipment immediately.
Maintain cleanliness and proper presentation of the fitness centre, equipment, and training areas.
Maintain accurate records of guest/member profiles, fitness assessments, training sessions, and progress for appropriate follow-up.
Recommend appropriate fitness programs, personal training sessions, classes, and wellness activities based on guests' needs.
Support the promotion of fitness, wellness, and membership programs to maximize guest satisfaction and departmental revenue.
Respond professionally to guest questions, concerns, and requests related to fitness and wellness.
Coordinate with Wellness, Spa, Front Office, Concierge, and other hotel departments to provide a seamless guest experience.
Follow all hotel policies, health and safety regulations, emergency procedures, and departmental SOPs.
Attend departmental briefings, training sessions, and meetings as required.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Exercise Science, Physical Education, Health & Wellness, Fitness Management, or a related field is preferred.
Recognized Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer certification is required or highly preferred.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, or similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort, fitness club, or wellness centre.
Strong knowledge of exercise techniques, strength training, cardiovascular training, functional training, stretching, and injury prevention.
First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
Good knowledge of fitness equipment, including cardio and strength-training machines.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
Excellent customer service mindset with a passion for health, fitness, and wellness.
Good command of spoken and written English.
Additional language skills are an advantage.
Physically fit and able to demonstrate exercises and fitness techniques correctly.
Professional appearance and positive personality.
Able to work effectively in a multicultural and luxury hospitality environment.
