Job Title: Construction Estimator (Restaurant & Retail Projects)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator with proven experience in restaurant and retail construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project plans, developing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the project team throughout the bidding and construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, cost breakdowns, and bid proposals for restaurant and retail construction projects.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, clients, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on scope, pricing, and schedule.
- Identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering alternatives.
- Maintain and update historical cost data and databases of vendors/subcontractors.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid reviews as necessary.
- Track and manage changes to project scope and update estimates accordingly.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a construction estimator, preferably with a focus on restaurant and retail projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, building codes, and industry standards.
- Proficient in estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or ProEst.
- Preferred experience with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Preferred Experience:
- Estimating experience with national restaurant chains, fast-casual brands, or high-end retail stores.
- Familiarity with open-store remodels and accelerated construction schedules.
- Ability to work on multiple estimates concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
