If you want to learn what’s “under the hood” of our instruments, join our highly skilled Research and Development (R&D) team for a full-time, 6-month internship starting Early Spring 2027. We offer positions for students in Quantum Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science.
Our internships are tailored to your experience and interests within our current projects. You will collaborate with our R&D team to solve real-world problems for our customers.
Potential Project #1: High-Density Signal Interconnects
Research and develop novel signal-line scaling methods for large-scale quantum computers. Model RF cables and advanced connectors, analyse signal integrity up to several GHz. Contribute to mechanical design, prototyping and lab characterisation.

- RF/high-speed design, S-parameters, simulation tools, mechanical engineering and hands-on lab work.
- Nice-to-Have
Skills
- 3D EM simulation (HFSS/CST/openEMS), 3D CAD/SolidWorks, PCB design, VNA measurements, Python.
- Potential Project #2: High-Speed Optical Links
Characterise and optimise optical links for high-speed data transfer and synchronisation. Analyse phase noise, jitter and drift, build and test high-speed optical links, and compare commercial transceivers.
