About this role
The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities
- Work is related to development and demonstration of a prototype for Mobile robot combination coupling and decoupling device/platform.
- Excellent prototyping and problem solving skills.
- Capable of working independently and within a team, while supervising other Final year students working on their final year projects on related area.
- Can communicate and present technically complex issues to multidisciplinary/multinational teams (local and international)

Requirements
- Ph.D degree in Electrical/Electronics/Robotics, mechanical or mechatronics engineering
- Experience in related area of cobot or related technologies (Plus).
- Familiar with control systems of cobot and robotic systems (Plus)
- Working knowledge of software (Python, C++, Matlab or similar).
- Practical and hands-on, active self-learner and able to pay close attention to technical details
- Proficiency in English and verbal communication, have strong work ethic and can work independently and comfortably in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Good working knowledge in ROS (Robot Operating System).
