Drive Information Management for World-Class Mission-Critical Projects

The successful delivery of hyperscale data centers and mission-critical infrastructure depends on more than construction execution. It requires disciplined document control, accurate information management, and seamless collaboration between owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.

From design development and procurement through construction, commissioning, and turnover, effective information management ensures project teams are working from accurate data, approved documents, current drawings, and complete project records throughout every phase of project delivery.

As a Document Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the information systems, document workflows, and project records that support successful project execution across some of North America's largest and most complex hyperscale data center developments.

About Michels Infrastructure Solutions

Michels Infrastructure Solutions (MIS) brings together the full capabilities of the Michels Family of Companies under a Super General Contractor (Super GC) model, providing mission-critical owners and developers with a single point of accountability for every phase of project execution.

By combining self-performed specialty design, construction, and commissioning services, MIS delivers large-scale, multidisciplinary projects with greater control over safety, quality, schedule, and cost.

MIS specializes in the delivery of hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities, leveraging expertise across mass grading and site development, wet and dry utilities, fiber and telecommunications infrastructure, ground improvement, deep foundations, structural concrete, power infrastructure, and commissioning. Our integrated delivery approach enables customers to partner with a single-source team capable of executing some of North America's most complex and demanding infrastructure projects.

Position Overview

As a Document Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for managing project documentation, workflows, and information systems supporting large-scale hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects. You will ensure project records are organized, accurate, accessible, and maintained in accordance with contractual requirements, quality standards, customer requirements, and project procedures.

During the early phases of project development, you will support document and information management activities associated with site development, utility coordination, permitting, procurement, construction planning, and engineering design packages. As projects advance, you will help manage the flow of information supporting construction execution, quality programs, commissioning activities, and project turnover requirements.

This role serves as a critical link between project management, engineering, procurement, quality, commissioning, field operations, customers, and subcontractors. You will help establish and maintain the digital infrastructure that enables project teams to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines and organizations.

Success requires strong organizational capabilities, attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
